Color Inspiration | Sweet Celebration

Before we start on any project big or small, we dive into planning each of the 7 (yes seven!) design elements. Color is one of the design elements that sets the stage for projects. Every color has it’s own story and mood on it’s own. Combining multiple colors together we are able to visually tell a more complex story and begin to bring projects to life!

The Project

I’ve said it before- fellow milspouse and entrepreneur, Shakira is an event planning fairy. She has such a talent to bring together vendors to execute her vision! I love it when she reaches out to me for signage and invitations.

She wanted to do a bright, bold, and fun “sweet treats” themed valentines day party. We started with rich magenta and red hues and built it out from there with accents of deep browns.

The Color Palette

How can you use these colors?

Many creative programs (Adobe Suite, Procreate, etc) have a color picker or color grab tool. Download the image above and use the tool to snag these exact colors in your own project.

The Designed Details with the Colors

Occasions by Shakira dreamed up this wonderful Valentine’s Day celebration!

Designed Details

She coordinated with local vendors to pull together this amazing spread. I was practically drooling making all of the punny signage to accompany the sweet treats!

The party attendees each had a custom name plate to help direct them to their seats for craft time! My favorite detail from the event is the custom 20″ x 30″ Gimme Some Sugar banner. How gorgeous is the mixture of the red, pink and hints of purple in the watercolor?

Long before the guests arrived and saw all these bright watercolor details in person, the coordinating watercolor invitation got each of the guests excited for the party! So many beautiful details from start to finish!

Hi, I’m Tara, the Brand Strategist +
Designer of Olive Fox Design!

I use strategy-based design to help you and your customers fall in love with your business. My formula isn’t rocket science but my extensive background in accounting does infuse a bit of nerdery, data-obsession, and color-coded spreadsheets to deliver a unique brand identity and strategy. And a little extra fluff from my kitty Willow doesn’t hurt either ;)

How can I help you? Drop me a note here and let’s chat!

How much do your services cost?

I know, the million-dollar question! Don’t worry, my services don’t actually cost a million bucks 😉  I don’t believe in cookie-cutter designs; therefore, I stay away from a one-size-fits-all pricing structure. I create a customized plan to meet your distinctive business goals and needs so each service cost does vary. But to help you know if Olive Fox Design is a good fit, I’ve created a Welcome Guide! This will give you all the details about my process, packages + pricing.

By providing your email, you’ll also start to receive my branding + business brief emails with the latest resources so you can confidently build your business!
